FAQs
Thank you so much for your order! We are not able to provide exact shipping dates for orders, but here some general information to help with estimating when your order will ship.
- Orders placed during our off-season when the shipping window is closed will ship in spring. Our estimated shipping timeframes are based largely on your hardiness zone, but weather and plant readiness are also factors. Once we have approximate dates for the opening of the shipping window for each area from our growers, we will publish them here. Please bear in mind, that once the shipping window opens, it can take a few weeks for our growers to get caught up on shipping the backlog of pre-orders that have been placed over late fall and winter.
- Orders placed in March -early May may have shipping times that are longer than typical due to the high number of orders placed during this period as well as the backlog of pre-orders placed in the off-season. For the earliest possible shipping date is spring, we recommend placing a pre-order in the off season as pre-orders will be the first orders shipped once the shipping window opens. Our growers work hard to get orders out as quickly as possible, but factors such as plant readiness and weather may cause additional delays. More information on current shipping timeframes can be found here.
- Orders placed late May-early October typically ship within 10 business days. During periods of extreme heat, our growers may delay shipping in order to ensure that your plants arrive to you healthy and ready to be planted.
If you have additional questions about the estimated shipping time for your order or need to delay shipping, please reach out to our customer care team for help.
Nope! Your order will not require a signature when it arrives at your doorstep. However, we highly recommend that you remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible, ideally within an hour. Tracking updates provided by email will allow you to monitor when your plants should arrive.
Unfortuntely, we are not able to designate an exact shipping or delivery date.
What we can do is hold your order in our system until after a specific day, and your order will not ship until after that date. This is great if you are going to be out of town and wish to hold your order for shipping until after you return. Just reach out to our customer care team at orders@gardenforwildlife.com and let us know what date we should hold your order until.
Please note: that once an order has been processed for shipping by our grower, we are no longer able to make any changes to the order including placing it on hold.
When multiple items are ordered, there are several reasons they may be delivered at different times.
It could be because:
- Your plants are coming from multiple growers.
- The grower determined that one or more plants in your order are not quite mature enough for shipping.
The remaining items on your order will shipped as soon as possible and an email with tracking info will be sent at that time. We are not able to provide specific date for when the rest of your order will ship, but please reach out to our customer care team at orders@gardenforwildlife.com if you would like more information.
