Shipping Timeframes
We work hard to make sure you receive healthy plants that will lead to a thriving wildlife garden. Our growers nurture your plants until the timing is best to send them your way. Shipping begins each year in spring after the last frost date for your area has passed and ends in early fall when the plants start to go dormant.
We are currently accepting pre-orders for Spring 2025. Order early to be the first in line when shipping resumes!
What is my USDA Hardiness Zone?
Sometimes called “growing zones,” hardiness zones refer to a map developed by the USDA that separates the United States into regions based on the average low winter temperatures. The USDA Hardiness Zone Map is the standard by which gardeners and growers can determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location. The map is based on the average annual minimum winter temperature, divided into 10-degree F zones and further divided into 5-degree F half-zones.
If the shipping window for where you’re planting is open, your plants will ship within 10 business days* of the order date. You’ll receive a confirmation email from orders@gardenforwildlife.com with tracking information as soon as your order ships.
*Important note: To ensure your plants arrive healthy, we may delay shipments to certain areas during times of extreme temperatures, natural disasters, or other conditions that will impact the plants during transit. Any delays will be clearly communicated. For more information, read our Shipping Policy or check our FAQs.
Some orders may experience shipping delays due to extreme heat impacting delivery routes across the country. To ensure your plants arrive healthy and happy, we're closely monitoring weather conditions. We won't ship orders if high temperatures could harm them during transit. This means we can't guarantee delivery by a specific date at this time. Once the weather clears and it's safe to ship your plants, you'll receive a confirmation email from orders@gardenforwildlife.com with tracking information. To request a travel hold, contact orders@gardenforwildlife.com.
We are now accepting pre-orders for Spring 2025. Place your order today to be first in line when shipping resumes next spring! You’ll receive a confirmation email from orders@gardenforwildlife.com with tracking information as soon as your order ships.
